A Snapshot of Your Day
The Head of Finance , Sales & Order Execution AU&NZ will be responsible for overseeing financial operations within Australia and New Zealand. This role involves the sales responsibility for the entire GT portfolio as well as overseeing the execution of our extensive amount of supply projects within the respective countries. You will be leading a team of 6 colleagues directly. You will also be able to align the support from other countries for your region. This support will supplement your team in their daily operations. The role will report directly to the FIN Head for GT S Asia Pacific and OEX Asia Pacific.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Oversee financial operations across your countries for the region.
- Manage the sales for AU and NZ as well as you will oversee the execution of our supply projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of 6+ headcount.
- Ensure compliance with regional financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the FIN Head for GT S, OEX Asia Pacific to align regional financial strategies with overall company goals.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures tailored to the region's diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Monitor and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across different countries and within your countries.
- Ensure the accuracy of the regional books and records, managing project cost and revenue forecasts effectively.
- Comply with Siemens accounting policies under IFRS and uphold all internal controls and signat43e/re authorities.
- Collaborate with the regional technical heads to manage project financial results, ensuring alignment with set targets and professional standards.
- Optimize the counties gross profit and cash flows by identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks and opportunities, and developing strategic response activities.
- Forecast and budget key sub regional KPIs on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to support informed decision-making.
- Understand the regional position regarding complex projects and assist the technical heads in protecting the company’s legal interests.
- Manage day-to-day operational financial tasks of the respective team, including customer invoicing, vendor payments, and foreign exchange management
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role within a multi-country region.
- Strong understanding of regional financial regulations and cultural nuances.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controlling or accounting roles, with a strong track record of managing financial aspects of projects.
- Proficient in standard accounting principles and practices.
- Fluent in professional English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience with IT tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP, to support financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate cultural differences effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Positive attitude and resilience in a challenging environment, with a commitment to embracing a high-performance culture.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
