Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Operations Centre (SOC) Operator to join our team within a critical data centre environment. This role is responsible for real-time monitoring of high-volume CCTV systems, access control platforms, and security alarms to ensure the safety, security, and integrity of the facility.
You will play a key role in detecting, assessing, and responding to incidents, while supporting on-site & business security operations and maintaining compliance with established procedures.
What will you do:

Monitor high-volume CCTV systems and detect abnormal or suspicious activity

Manage and respond to security alarms, incidents, and access control events

Operate and oversee electronic access control systems (e.g. IDACS)

Coordinate incident response, including escalation to on-site teams and emergency services

Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation

Provide remote support to security personnel, contractors, and staff
-
Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
-
Proven experience in high-volume CCTV monitoring within a security role
-
Experience in data centres, critical infrastructure, or high-security environments (highly regarded)

Strong situational awareness and ability to assess risk quickly

Excellent communication and reporting skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment

High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Comfortable working with multiple systems and technologies simultaneously
Qualifications
-
Current Security Licence (highly regarded)

Experience with access control and alarm monitoring systems

Understanding of incident response and escalation processes
Mandatory:

Australian Citizenship (required for AGSVA security clearance)

Ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA security clearance (NV1)

Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Licence
Highly desirable:

AGSVA security clearance – Baseline or NV1
