We’re looking for a passionate and confident Lead Educator to join our Kindergarten team at Journey Early Learning Indooroopilly.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely alongside our Early Childhood Teacher, supporting children in their final years before school while developing your own leadership and pedagogical capability. About the Role
As Lead Educator, you'll support the delivery of a high-quality Kindergarten program that fosters children's confidence, independence, and school readiness. Working in partnership with the ECT, you'll help create engaging, play-based learning experiences while mentoring educators and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys taking initiative, building strong relationships, and supporting quality outcomes for children.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of a high-quality Kindergarten program aligned with the EYLF
Create engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote school readiness
Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Contribute to observations, documentation, and reflective practice
Work collaboratively with the ECT and Centre Leadership Team
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding
About You
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (essential)
Must have completed National Child Safety Training
Experience as a Lead Educator or a confident educator ready to step up
Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
Passion for supporting children's school readiness
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
Experience with Storypark or similar platforms is highly regarded
