Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation (YMAC) is the Native Title Representative Body (NTRB), delivering native title and other services across the Pilbara, Mid West, Murchison and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia. YMAC is run by a First Nations board of directors, representing several native title groups, each of whom have their own language, culture, traditions and protocols.
YMAC services include native title claim and future act representation; heritage services; executive office, community, and economic development assistance; land administration, and natural resource management support.

About the Role
YMAC is currently seeking a part-time (37.5 hours per fortnight) Operations Assistant to join the team in our Geraldton office on a fixed term contract. This role provides a Baiyungu-Yinnigurrura person with the opportunity to develop practical administrative, project support and organisational skills while working within the Ranger Program. The position will support the day-to-day operations of the program and provide valuable opportunities for learning, training and professional development.
About You
You may be looking to begin or develop your career in administration within a supportive team that is committed to your professional development, training and growth. You will have a strong desire to provide effective and efficient administrative support to various departments under the direction of the Ranger Coordinator (Baiyungu-Yinnigurrura). Duties may include office administration, Ranger Program record-keeping, supporting the transition of program functions to NTGAC, participating in training and professional development, and gaining valuable exposure to cultural and environmental land management operations.

- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Interest in administration, ranger programs, and caring for Country.
- Reliability, personal integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks, and ask questions when unsure.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn (email, Word, Excel).
