About your opportunity:
Are you passionate about medical imaging and looking to make a significant impact in healthcare? At Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service Medical Imaging Service, we operate across ten state-of-the-art imaging sites, with Cairns Hospital Medical Imaging being our largest and most advanced facility. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you'll be at the forefront of providing critical emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging services. Our team provides essential support for Digital Subtraction Angiography in our Hybrid Theatre and Coronary Angiography in the Cardiac Cath Lab in addition to providing a high-level service across general, emergency, mobile and theatre radiography to other Medical Imaging modalities.

About your role:
In this role you will....
Deliver high level medical imaging clinical services including general, emergency, mobile, theatre and procedural radiography.
Undertake high level medical imaging duties in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, and with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Deliver, or be able to rapidly gain the skills required to deliver, high level Fluoroscopy and Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) within the procedural suites, Hybrid Theatre and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory settings. This involves driving the equipment under the direction of the operator.
Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing, and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of medical imaging services.
Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced medical imaging clinicians and students to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within medical imaging.
