THE POSITION:
The Organisational Development and Learning Coordinator is a pivotal role responsible for leading Council's learning and organisational development function, driving initiatives that build workforce capability, strengthen leadership effectiveness and enhance employee experience. Working in partnership with leaders across the organisation, you will identify capability needs, develop contemporary learning solutions and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to design, implement and continuously improve learning, leadership and organisational development programs that support Council's workforce needs and strategic objectives. You will lead training needs analysis, develop and facilitate learning programs and workshops, coordinate leadership development initiatives, and provide coaching and mentoring to leaders and employees at all levels.
In this role, you will oversee Council's Learning Management System (LMS), corporate induction program, compliance training requirements and workforce development initiatives, including trainee, apprentice and work experience programs. You will also develop and maintain e-learning content, manage the annual training calendar and ensure learning solutions align with organisational priorities and emerging workforce requirements.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Management, Business or a related discipline and/or substantial relevant experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Extensive experience across the full learning and development lifecycle
- Experience designing, developing and facilitating training programs within a complex organisation
- Demonstrated experience developing leadership capability frameworks and programs
- Experience conducting training needs analysis and workforce capability assessments
- Strong coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing Learning Management Systems and e-learning content
- Experience managing training budgets and measuring return on investment
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of contemporary learning, culture and organisational development practices
- Understanding of relevant employment and local government legislation
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent full-time position, working 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 8, with a salary range of $119,079 p.a. with progression to $131,440 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, and performance progression up to $139,486 p.a., plus superannuation
