About the role:
The Master Scheduleris a key EPMO role responsible for assuring the quality, integrity and consistency of project and program schedules across Victoria Police, enabling clear, evidence-based governance and decision-making. The role leads schedule assurance, portfolio reporting and continuous improvement, working closely with the EPMO Director, Project and Program Managers, and other EPMO practice managers to provide an integrated view of delivery performance, risks and dependencies.
Core initiatives include monthly schedule assurance reviews, portfolio-level reporting, supporting recovery planning, and uplifting scheduling standards, tools and practices across the organisation. Your duties will include:
- Conduct regular reviews of project and program schedules to check accuracy, dependencies, milestones and timelines.

Identify delays, risks and inconsistencies, and provide clear advice to support decision-making.

Prepare and deliver portfolio-level schedule reports, highlighting performance, risks and areas requiring attention.

Work closely with project and program managers to improve schedule quality and support recovery planning where needed.

Maintain and improve scheduling tools, templates and reporting practices to ensure consistency across projects.

Build effective working relationships with stakeholders to support consistent and reliable scheduling practices.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining and monitoring complex project and program schedules, including managing dependencies, milestones and delivery timelines.

Strong ability to analyse schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and provide clear reporting to support decision-making.

Proven experience applying schedule assurance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability across projects.

Experience improving scheduling tools, templates or processes to support consistent delivery practices
-
Ability to work effectively with stakeholders to support coordinated delivery and resolve scheduling issues
-
Effective verbal communication is an asset, and we encourage applicants with diverse communication abilities

This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
