The role
At Adbri, we play a critical role in building the infrastructure that supports Australian communities. We're seeking an experienced and well-connected Manager – Government & Stakeholder Relations to lead our engagement with government, industry and community stakeholders across South Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of business, government and public policy, working with Adbri's external stakeholders to support strategic growth, advocacy initiatives and community outcomes.
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll be the trusted advisor on government, regulatory and stakeholder matters, identifying opportunities, advocating for policy outcomes and building partnerships that support Adbri's long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering government relations and advocacy strategies that advance Adbri's strategic and operational objectives.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with government representatives, industry bodies, community groups, Traditional Owners and key external stakeholders.

Monitoring political, legislative and regulatory developments and providing strategic advice on business risks, opportunities and emerging issues.

Identifying and supporting government funding, grant and partnership opportunities that align with Adbri's growth priorities.

Enhancing Adbri's reputation and social licence through proactive stakeholder engagement and effective external representation.
What you will need to succeed
- Significant experience in government relations, public policy, external affairs, stakeholder engagement or corporate affairs.

Strong understanding of the South Australian political, regulatory and policy environment, coupled with well-established stakeholder networks.

Demonstrated success influencing policy outcomes and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies that support business objectives.

Exceptional relationship-building, communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of government and industry.

Experience advising senior leaders on complex government, regulatory, reputational or stakeholder matters.
