Position Summary:
- Lead daily engineering and maintenance operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and operational excellence.
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot facility issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Inspect and maintain critical building systems, including fire pumps, generators, alarms, and sprinkler systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and support procurement of engineering parts, tools, and supplies.
- Ensure engineering operations comply with applicable Australian Standards, local regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise engineering projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality outcomes, budget control, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with staff training, scheduling, coaching, and day-to-day supervision of the engineering team.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and workplace regulations.
- Support emergency response planning and maintain readiness of safety systems across the property.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, quality, and cost performance.
About You:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Technical proficiency in Electrical, HVAC&R, and Plumbing systems.
- Good knowledge of building maintenance practices, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs.
- Experience working as an engineer technician, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and building management or maintenance software (BMS/CMMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify maintenance issues and coordinate timely solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, workload, and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a respectful attitude to foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Hands-on maintenance experience with practical technical skills across multiple building systems.

Salary range for this role: $79,500 - $82,000
