Bhevin Transport Pty Ltd is a growing Australian transport and logistics business committed to delivering reliable, safe and cost-effective freight solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our transport fleet, ensuring vehicles, drivers and operations run safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Organising the purchase, leasing, hire and disposal of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel for the fleet
- Coordinating and overseeing the regular maintenance, servicing, registration and roadworthiness of all fleet vehicles
- Liaising with clients to determine transport requirements and providing advice and information regarding vehicle type, freight rates, schedules and contractual obligations
- Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules to meet customer requirements
- Arranging the collection and delivery of vehicles and freight, and ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that maintain their quality
- Maintaining accurate business records and preparing operational statements, performance reports and budgets for management
- Coordinating activities associated with the loading, unloading, arrival and departure of vehicles and freight
- Negotiating with suppliers, service providers and contractors to secure competitive pricing and service levels
- Handling customer enquiries, complaints and escalations in a professional and timely manner
Skills and Experience Required
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Transport, Logistics, Business Management
- Atleast 1 year of demonstrated experience in fleet, transport or logistics management
- Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills
- Valid Australian driver's licence
Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
