Café Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy café and catering business.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational experience, excellent people management skills, and a solid understanding of coffee, food production and catering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the café and catering business
- Lead, train and support a team of hospitality professionals
- Ensure high standards of customer service, food quality and presentation
- Prepare coffee and assist with service during busy periods
- Manage stock ordering, inventory control and supplier relationships
- Coordinate catering orders and production
- Manage rostering and labour costs
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
About You
- Previous experience in a Café Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and café operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, sandwiches, grab-and-go products and kitchen workflow
- Experience managing catering operations is highly desirable
- Experience with stock control, ordering and supplier management
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
