Job Description
Join our dedicated Food Services team at Beleura Private Hospital as a Casual Food Services Assistant. In this role, you will contribute to providing high-quality, nutritious meals and excellent food service to our patients and doctors.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with food preparation, cold larder duties, stock management and maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness. You will play an important role in ensuring patients receive nutritious, well-presented meals and a friendly service experience throughout their stay.
About You
You are a reliable, punctual and hardworking individual with a genuine commitment to providing friendly, high-quality customer service. You take pride in your work, have a strong attention to detail and are able to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
You enjoy working as part of a team and are willing to assist across a range of Food Services duties as required.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality, nutritious cold larder items including sandwiches, salads and desserts for patients and doctors.

Assist with food preparation, presentation and service as required.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety at all times.

Ensure food preparation areas, equipment and workspaces are kept clean and safe.

Assist with stock management, including monitoring supplies and appropriate stock rotation.

Follow HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Assist the broader Food Services team with daily duties as required.

Provide friendly, professional and customer-focused service to patients, doctors and colleagues.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure food services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
You Will Also Bring
-
Previous experience in a preparation kitchen, hospitality, food services or hospital environment is desirable but not essential.

Waitressing or customer service experience is preferred.

An understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.

Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety requirements.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.

Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual approach.
-
Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
-
Certificate II or III in Hospitality is desirable.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay Health Care's core values.

Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.
