Role Overview
The Business Development Executive/Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with accounting firms and SMEs, managing the complete sales cycle, and achieving revenue targets.
This is a hunter role requiring someone who enjoys prospecting, networking, generating new business, and closing high-value outsourcing contracts.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of selling professional services, preferably within the accounting, financial services, outsourcing, SaaS, or B2B services industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Queensland and other Australian states.
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, referrals, email campaigns, and industry events.
- Build a strong sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Develop strategic relationships with accounting firms, CPA practices, bookkeeping firms, and SMEs.
- Conduct client meetings, discovery sessions, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to contract closure.
- Understand client pain points and recommend suitable outsourcing solutions.
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close new business opportunities.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects and nurture long-term relationships.
Market Development
- Research industry trends and competitor activities.
- Identify emerging opportunities within the accounting and outsourcing market.
- Represent Outbooks Australia at networking events, conferences, and industry exhibitions.
- Develop strategic partnerships and referral channels.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales records using CRM software.
- Track pipeline progress and sales forecasts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports.
- Ensure all client interactions and opportunities are properly documented.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Operations, Marketing, and Client Success teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
- Coordinate with offshore delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with operational capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of successful B2B business development or sales experience.
- Proven experience selling professional services, outsourcing, accounting services, SaaS, or consulting solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong network within the Australian business community is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling approach.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or similar.
- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across Queensland when required.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
