About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, energetic and dog-loving Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. You'll be responsible for providing a safe, clean and fun environment for dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities. If you're passionate about animal care and enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs during daycare sessions.
- Monitor dog behaviour and encourage appropriate social interactions.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic facility, including play areas, kennels and equipment.
- Feed dogs and administer medications where required (training provided if needed).
- Conduct health and wellbeing checks, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with customer drop-offs and pick-ups, providing friendly and professional service - if NonProvisional Australian licence held.
- Ensure all safety procedures and animal welfare standards are followed.
- Support the team with general cleaning, laundry and other daily tasks.
About You
- Genuine passion for dogs and animal welfare.
- Confident handling dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments.
- Calm, observant and able to respond appropriately in different situations.
- Physically fit and capable of being on your feet, lifting up to 20 kg and working in varying weather.
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience working with dogs is highly regarded but not essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a dog daycare, boarding kennel, veterinary clinic, grooming salon or animal shelter.
- Animal care qualifications (Certificate II or III in Animal Care or similar) are an advantage.
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- NON provisional Australian Driver's licence (preferred).
