Registered Nurse – General Practice

Coburg Family Medical Centre is a busy, well-established general practice providing high-quality, patient-centred care to our diverse community.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Division 1) to join our General Practice team. This role is suited to a confident, organised and patient-focused nurse with strong General Practice experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Nurse Immuniser duties, including administering vaccinations in accordance with current guidelines
- Immunisations and vaccination clinics
- Treatment room procedures and wound care
- Chronic disease management
- Health assessments, care plans and health reviews
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Infection prevention and control
- Vaccine cold chain management
- Clinical stock management
- Accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting RACGP accreditation and quality improvement activities
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in General Practice
- Demonstrated experience using MedicalDirector Clinical
- Sound knowledge of RACGP accreditation standards
- Strong knowledge of infection control and cold chain requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Professional, reliable and patient-focused approach
Preferred / Desirable
- Qualified Nurse Immuniser
- Current Immunisation Provider Number
- Experience delivering immunisation and vaccination clinics
- Strong experience in Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments
- Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and General Practice workflows
- Experience assisting GPs with minor procedures
