Retail Manager
Sydmar Foods is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager for a full-time
position, with employment based at Moda Foods Australia Pty Ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading retail store operations and online
retail sales within a growing food retail business specialising in Turkish and Mediterranean
grocery products.
This role focuses on driving retail performance across both physical and digital channels,
improving customer experience, managing store operations, and supporting the continued
growth of retail activities.
About the Role
The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day retail store operations and
online retail sales performance. The role focuses on driving sales growth, improving
customer experience, managing retail staff, and ensuring effective execution of retail
strategies across both channels.
This position works closely with internal teams across the business to ensure alignment
between retail demand, stock availability, and overall operational requirements.
The successful candidate will be engaged by Sydmar Foods and will be based at Moda Foods
and will play a key role in supporting the business’s retail expansion and operational
structure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage in-store and online retail operations and ensure operational efficiency
Oversee online retail activities including product listings, pricing updates, and
promotional execution
Support sales growth across both in-store and online channels through effective retail
execution
Lead, supervise, train and support retail staff
Manage rostering, staffing levels, and workforce planning
Ensure high standards of customer service across all retail touchpoints
Monitor sales performance and customer purchasing trends
Implement initiatives to improve revenue, profitability, and customer engagement at
retail level
Manage merchandising and in-store product presentation
Coordinate with supply and distribution teams to ensure timely stock availability and
efficient stock flow to support retail operations
Support execution of promotional activities across retail channels, ensuring consistent
in-store and online implementation in line with sales strategies
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and company
procedures
Prepare regular retail performance reports for management review
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail management, preferably within the
food retail or FMCG sector
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Experience in stock control, inventory systems, and sales reporting
Experience managing both physical retail and online retail operations, including e-
commerce platform management (e.g. product listings, pricing updates, and order
processing)
Understanding of online customer order processing and fulfilment workflows will be
highly regarded
Ability to coordinate across in-store and online channels to ensure consistent
customer experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing business environment
