We are seeking a highly organised, customer-focused Administration Officer to join our dynamic Department of Adolescent Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. Work days will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 08:30am-5:00pm.
What you'll be doing
The position will be responsible for welcoming patients, families, visitors and external stakeholders to the Department of Adolescent Medicine and assisting the administrative team with a high volume of incoming calls for a range of services and forwarding messages to the appropriate staff member by page or email. Provide high level administrative support to medical, allied health and nursing staff. Coordinating a range of specialty clinics within the Department which include; Complex Adolescent Clinic, Eating Disorders, Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, CICADA Drug and Alcohol, CICADA Family Service, CICADA FASD, Self-Management and Transgender clinics. To ensure all outpatient details in Patient Management are correct and all Medicare item numbers are in accordance with the MBS.

Previous administration and reception experience.

Previous Health Care experience desirable but not essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer services skills.

Australia Citizenship or permanent residency status..

High level computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.

Patient Management system – desirable or the ability to learn new software programs.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
