Riverstone High School (RHS) is a vibrant and inclusive co-educational school located on Dharug land, deeply connected to the rich history of the Riverstone area. The school serves a culturally and linguistically diverse community of approximately 800 students, with 45% from a language background other than English, 25% requiring support for EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect), and 11% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. 2. Proven capability as a proactive, positive and calm leader who works collaboratively with staff, students and families to embed whole-school systems that promote student wellbeing and facilitate growth in student learning.
3. Proven strong and strategic leadership skills, with the capacity to think critically, plan proactively and lead improvement through the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives that support high-quality teaching and learning.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
