About the Role
Based in Chipping Norton, NSW, the Contracts Administrator will play an important role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of projects from tender stage through to delivery and close-out.
Working closely with project, commercial and operational teams, you will assist with contract administration, subcontract management, claims, variations, commercial reporting and risk management. This role will suit a commercially minded professional who is organised, detail-oriented and confident working across multiple stakeholders in a project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer head contracts and subcontracts across the project lifecycle
- Support tender reviews, contract formation, negotiations and subcontract engagement
- Prepare, assess and manage progress claims, payment schedules, variations and contractual correspondence
- Monitor subcontractor performance and support the management of commercial obligations
- Review contract terms and conditions to identify risk and support mitigation strategies
- Maintain contract records, registers, insurances, securities and project documentation
- Assist project teams with cost tracking, forecasting, reporting and compliance requirements
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Contribute to continuous improvement across contract administration and commercial processes
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Contracts Administrator or similar commercial/project support role
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or a related industry
- Sound understanding of contract administration, subcontract management and commercial risk
- Exposure to claims, variations, progress payments and project commercial reporting
- Familiarity with AS4000 contracts and related contractual frameworks is desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law, construction management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
