Wonju Butchery is seeking a full-time skilled, hardworking, and detail-oriented retail manager to join our team in West Ryde.
Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Manager, your tasks will include:
● Determining product range, stock levels, and ordering requirements for fresh meat, poultry, smallgoods, value-added products, and related retail items.
● Managing retail service standards to ensure excellent customer experiences for walk-in customers, wholesale customers, restaurants, and other trade clients.
● Implementing purchasing, pricing, sales, and marketing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining product quality and competitiveness.
● Promoting the business through in-store merchandising, product displays, customer engagement, local marketing initiatives, and online platforms.
● Assisting customers with product selection and providing advice on meat cuts, portion sizes, cooking methods, product suitability, and special orders.
● Maintaining accurate records of inventory, supplier purchases, customer orders, sales transactions, invoices, deliveries, and financial reporting.
● Managing store revenue, operating expenses, stock control, wastage, shrinkage, purchasing budgets, and sales performance targets.
● Recruiting, rostering, training, mentoring, and supervising retail, customer service, and butcher shop staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
● Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and relevant industry legislation.
● Monitoring stock rotation, product quality, storage conditions, temperature controls, and waste minimisation procedures to maintain the highest product standards.
● Coordinating consistent pricing, product availability, promotional activities, customer service standards, and order fulfilment across all sales channels.
● Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and local business partners to support business growth and customer loyalty.
