Leedal Pty Ltd is one of Western Australia’s leading Indigenous-owned organizations, playing a vital role in the economic development of Fitzroy Crossing. As the trustee for the Fitzroy Crossing Trust, Leedal supports six local Indigenous corporations, ensuring responsible management of key community assets and businesses.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Assistant to join our team.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers, identify their needs, and provide advice on the product range, pricing, availability, warranties, and the correct use and care of goods.
- Demonstrate and explain the features and benefits of the store's products and services to customers.
- Sell a range of goods including food, beverages, household items, and other personal and general merchandise.
- Process customer payments through various methods, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, and prepare sales receipts and invoices.
- Assist with stock management, including monitoring inventory levels, replenishing shelves, and taking part in stocktakes.
- Arrange and display merchandise attractively and wrap or pack goods for customers as required.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, refunds, and exchanges in a courteous and professional manner.
- Keep the sales floor, display, and service areas clean, tidy, and well presented.
- Receive and unpack deliveries, check goods against orders, and report discrepancies or shortages.
The suitable applicants should:
- Have minimum of 2 years relevant retail or customer service experience or be willing to undertake on-the-job training.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Be able to handle cash and operate POS systems accurately.
- Have basic numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be willing to work a roster that may include weekends and public holidays.
The employer will offer:
- A full-time contract for at least 3 years, extendable for further term.
- An annual salary of $68,000 - $72,000 (negotiable) + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates with relevant qualification and experience.
