We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our workshop team in Waroona.
This is a hands-on role working with manual lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment to manufacture, repair and refurbish a wide range of earthmoving machine components. You'll be
trusted to work independently, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to the ongoing success of our workshop.
Key Responsibilities

Operate manual lathes to manufacture components to specification.
- Perform general machining using lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Measure, inspect and verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Assist with repairs, maintenance and light fabrication work as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
About You

Experience manufacturing and repairing earthmoving equipment components within the civil and mining industries
- Demonstrated experience operating manual lathes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Forklift (LF) Licence is highly regarded.
Requirements:

Trade qualification in Metal Machining or equivalent.
- Australian C Class Driver's Licence (minimum).
- Forklift (LF) Licence preferred.
- White Card - CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
