About the Role
The Senior Election Talent Officer plays a critical role in supporting the recruitment of the talent pool of Senior Election Officials at NSW Electoral Commission.
This role will be responsible for providing recruitment and workforce administration support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employment checks, training coordination and offboarding activities.
Working in a high-volume operational environment, you will coordinate multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, respond to stakeholder enquiries and ensure activities are completed in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures. Success in this role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, customer focus and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The role is Temporary Full-time position until 30 June 2027.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience gained in working in a similar role.
- Demonstrate experience in recruitment and onboarding of staff.
- Track record in building relationships and collaborating/supporting diverse groups out in the field.
- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and analysing risks, complex workforce issues, with a focus on early intervention and problem solving.
- Sound computer skills and knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- No affiliations with political parties, candidates, elected members, this-party campaigners, donors or registered lobbyists that could undermine the political impartiality of the Electoral Commission or that are otherwise inconsistent with its Political Neutrality Policy.
- Satisfactory criminal record check result.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office, leading into election time, you will be expected to be in the office full-time and possibly work in other locations across NSW based on business requirements.
