The Taylors Lakes Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and talented hospitality professional to join our team!
Situated in the North West suburbs of Melbourne; the hotel is an award winning venue, with 4 function spaces on alongside 58 luxury accommodation rooms, a breakfast cafe, JBJ’s A La Carte restaurant & International sports bar.
Our functions department is looking for someone who loves a busy service and is passionate about maintaining a consistently high standards of service to guests.

This is a hands on operational role; reporting directly to the F&B Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating function operations, ensuring all conferences and events run efficiently and that excellence is maintained on all fronts.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Delivering a high level of customer service.
- Completing tasks involved with the daily operations of the functions department including set-ups and service.
- Ensuring professionalism and etiquette is met on all fronts.
- Contributing to the team efforts to achieve company goals.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Completing tasks involved with the daily operations of the functions department.
- Responsible for training, induction and development of staff
- Motivate employees and foster team work and positivity
- Conduct briefings and staff meetings to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Delivering a high level of customer service, mainly through face to face interactions with customers.
- Practice effective communication with function and conference organizers.
- Supervise weddings, functions and conferences.
- Maintain correct levels of equipment required for all functions and have in place.
- Effectively resolve guest queries and complaints.

- Previous experience in Banquets or Events, preferably within a Hotel with minimum 2 years' experience.

The successful applicants must be available to work flexible shifts including AM and PM shifts across weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
