The Role
We are seeking a team of experienced electrical Linesworkers to join us across multiple regional projects on the east coast of Australia. As a Linesworker, you will be responsible for installing or upgrading transmission and/or distribution lines along with, but not limited to the following:
Assembly
- Braking out steel bundles using telehandler and manual handing practices
- Sorting of steel components to ensure all items have been checked for good quality
- Checking that all materials have the correct quantities, list and report and OS&D items
- Set timbers and pre-assembly tower sections as per IFC drawings, methodology and engineering instructions
Erection
- Transmission line steel erection and rigging following the Engineering Installation Methodologies
- Ensuring Cranage Havey Lift studies have been reviewed and follow directions made the crane operator and crew
- Using heavy plant equipment including elevated work platforms and portable equipment such as hydraulic drills
- Undertaking substation steel erection works
Stringing (if part of scope)
- Ensuring poles, towers and conductors are constructed to network operator and Safe Work Method Statement standards and effectively cover all hazard controls
- Installing conductors, aerial equipment and underground cables and equipment
- Installing and maintaining poles and associated hardware
- Fitting pole hardware and crossarms
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Dogging Licence
- Certificate III in Rigging (advantageous)
- Tower Rescue Training
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working FIFO in the construction or energy industries
- Proficient in reading plans and interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence (C Class)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Pay: $48.00 – $68.00 per hour
Expected hours: 70 – 84 per week
