Abbotsleigh is seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Headmistress in a pivotal role at the centre of our busy and vibrant Pre K–12 school.
This is a dynamic, high-volume position suited to someone who enjoys being fully engaged in daily school life, working with a wide range of staff, managing competing priorities, and contributing to the smooth delivery of whole-school events.
About the Role
You will provide responsive executive support while also playing a key role in coordinating and delivering significant school events. The role requires a calm, capable professional who brings initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to be hands-on when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support, including complex diary and communication management
- Build strong working relationships across a large and diverse community of staff, students and parents
- Coordinate and support whole-school events such as Assemblies and Speech Day
- Manage event logistics, schedules, communications and materials
- Prepare clear, well-presented reports, correspondence and presentations
About You
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in an Executive Assistant or similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence managing a busy workload with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
- Experience supporting events and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint essential), with Canva/AI tools an advantage
- Discretion, resilience and a proactive approach
