Support Worker – In-Home Disability Support
Location: Crows Nest / North Sydney Area
Forever Care Disability Centre is looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to provide high-quality in-home support for a participant living with a spinal cord injury.
This is a meaningful role where you will support the participant with daily personal care, independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life in a respectful and person-centred way.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care with respect, professionalism, and genuine compassion.
- Assist with hoist transfers safely as part of a two-person morning support team.
- Provide bowel care support in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Follow safe manual handling practices at all times.
- Assist with changing bed linen and keeping the bedroom clean and comfortable.
- Help maintain a tidy home environment, including the bedroom, office, lounge room, and kitchen.
- Support with household laundry, including washing, unloading, folding, and keeping the space organised.
- Work together with another support worker during morning shifts to provide safe and smooth care.
- Follow the participant’s care plan and report any concerns clearly to the FCDC team.
Support Arrangement
This is an in-home disability support role.
Morning shifts are completed by two support workers working together to ensure safe and effective support, especially with personal care, hoist transfers, bowel care, and manual handling.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced with spinal cord injury or complex physical disability support
- Confident with personal care, hoist transfers, bowel care, and manual handling
- Reliable, professional, patient, and compassionate
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable following care plans and instructions
- Respectful of the participant’s home, privacy, dignity, and routine
- Available for early morning shifts starting around 6:00am
This role is suitable for a support worker who takes pride in providing high-quality care and wants to be part of a supportive, growing NDIS provider.
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Crows Nest NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
