Disability Support Worker – Chirnside Park, VIC
Location: Chirnside Park, VIC
Hours: Long shifts with ongoing roster
South Melbourne Care Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team and provide quality support to our participants.
About the Role
This position involves supporting participants with their daily activities, promoting independence, and assisting them in achieving their individual goals. We are looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and committed to providing person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and daily living support as required
- Supporting participants to achieve their goals
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
- Promoting independence and community participation
- Following care plans and organisational policies
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Previous experience in disability support preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
