IPU 4D SCUH is a 28-bed acute inpatient unit with a subspecialty of Urology and Gynaecology.
Key Responsibilities include:
Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
Specialist services include:
Pre and post operative management of Urology patients, following procedures such as continuous bladder irrigation, radical retropubic prostatectomy, and cystectomy
Pre and post operative management of Gynaecology patients, including care following hysterectomies and miscarriages
Administration of chemotherapy agents.
Remuneration value up to $87,948 p.a, comprising salary rates $57.48 - $61.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6) (permanent part time position available, 48 hrs p.f.).
