Location: Parramatta - Hybrid model of Office presence and working from home that aligns to current team’s schedule

Fixed Assets team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Service Officer to support a high performing team of service officers responsible for processing Fixed assets and Project administration requests for a large number of clients.
Your role
The role of Senior Asset Officer will be responsible for supporting the Fixed Asset team lead in the management of reporting and processing for various clients fixed asset registers.
What you’ll do
As Senior Service Officer, you will ensure successful capitalisation of work in progress expenditures into completed fixed assets on the fixed asset registers. Supporting & Assisting in the process of the annual fixed asset stocktaking and revaluation processes will also be expected.
The Fixed Asset & SAP systems is a team of high performing accounting professionals, fostering cooperative collaboration and knowledge sharing across key areas of strategic finance and organisational divisions and supporting each other and the Leads to manage effectively within a resource and time constrained environment.
The team is responsible for end to end processing of all Fixed Assets and project administration requests from all clients in accordance with legislative requirements. You will be required to provide services as per the SPAs ensuring a positive customer experience providing services, support and advice on Fixed Assets administration following existing policies and procedures.
You will assist in developing team capability by sharing knowledge, supporting learning, and reinforcing performance expectations. You will foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment that encourages trust and high performance.
You will identify opportunities for improvement and discuss implementing changes where required.
What we’re looking for
The successful person will have sound experience in financial accounting demonstrated through knowledge of the principles and concepts of fixed asset register accounting, capital work in progress project accounting. Knowledge of and experience with contemporary accounting systems will also be required in this role.
Attention to detail, strong communication skills and forward planning abilities are highly important to success in this role. Applicants with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience will be ideal.
This role requires a demonstration of resilience and strong time management by effectively prioritising workloads and maintaining performance under pressure. The applicants should be able to handle challenging customer and stakeholder interactions and resolves complex issues efficiently and professionally. They should be able to use digital tools and systems effectively to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and support business outcomes.
Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $99938 base plus superannuation
