About the role
As our Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and internal policies.
Working closely with People & Culture, Finance and leaders across the business, you'll provide expert payroll support, resolve employee enquiries and contribute to continuous improvements that enhance the payroll experience.
Specifically, you will:
- Process fortnightly payroll accurately and within required deadlines.
- Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, allowances, leave entitlements and payroll adjustments.
- Process new starters, employee changes and terminations.
- Ensure payroll complies with relevant legislation, taxation, superannuation requirements, awards and enterprise agreements.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and confidential information.
- Respond to payroll enquiries professionally and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end payroll activities.
Support payroll system enhancements, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll Administration or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
