About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of the Sunshine Coast through the delivery of major infrastructure that will support our region for decades to come. Leading multidisciplinary teams and working closely with government, industry and community stakeholders, you'll drive complex projects from concept through to completion.
As a senior project lead for Council's interface with The Wave program, you'll ensure strategic planning, design and delivery outcomes align with Council's vision and long-term infrastructure objectives. Your work will help secure a seamless transition of assets and create a lasting legacy that benefits the entire community.
- Coordinate the delivery of major regional infrastructure projects from planning and design through to construction and handover.
- Drive Council's delivery interface with The Wave project, ensuring successful outcomes and seamless integration of legacy assets into the community.
- Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to deliver complex projects on time, on budget and to a high standard.
- Build trusted relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders to influence outcomes and resolve complex challenges.
- Lead project governance, risk management and decision-making across high-profile, high-value infrastructure programs.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement to maximise project and community outcomes.
About you
You're a strategic, outcomes-focused leader with a reputation for delivering major infrastructure projects that matter. Combining technical expertise with strong stakeholder influence, you'll bring the confidence and capability to lead complex programs that will shape the future of the Sunshine Coast.
- Degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
- Proven success delivering major infrastructure or urban development projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex contracts and negotiations.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- The ability to lead through complexity, solve problems and deliver results.
- Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative, outcomes-focused approach.
- Queensland White Card and current C Class Driver Licence.
