What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
This position is suitable for a primary care, general medical, sexual health or addiction medicine trainee, depending on experience and training requirements. This position is accredited for RACGP general practice extended skills training and RACP advanced training in sexual health, addiction medicine and public health. Trainee supervision and support is provided by three staff specialists with specialist qualifications and trainee supervision experience. Applicants enrolled in training programs will be supervised and assessed as per the requirements of their training program.
The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is one of the SESLHD Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services, which also include Sydney Sexual Health Centre and The Albion Centre. Applicants should be aware when applying for this position that the successful candidate may be required to work across these facilities if needed.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- At least two years of recent postgraduate clinical experience.
- Commitment to Primary Health Care and harm reduction philosophies.
- Evidence of an interest in service development, audit or research projects
- The Kirketon Road Centre is a walk in service serving a marginalised population, the successful applicant will be prepared to work in a safe yet sometimes unpredictable and volatile environment.
