SCRM Media works exclusively with car dealerships across Australia, handling their social media, photography, and digital content end-to-end. We're a small, focused team and we're looking for someone local to join us on the ground in South East Melbourne.
This is a near Full-time rollThe core of it is straightforward — you'll be visiting dealerships, getting the content we need, and handing it off to our team. No complicated briefs, no guesswork. We'll set you up with everything you need to know, and there are separate opportunities to grow into professional automotive photography as your skills develop.
What the job actually looks like day-to-day
Most of your time will be split between filming social content and photographing dealership stock for inventory, all on a dedicated camera. But it goes beyond the basics — you'll also be shooting proper car highlight films and full bespoke shoots, so a real feel for how to make a car look its best matters here. You'll do some Lightroom editing to keep photos looking consistent before they're handed off.
- Filming short-form content at dealerships (Reels, walk-arounds, promos) on a dedicated camera
- Shooting car highlight films and full bespoke shoots — proper, considered car filming
- Shooting structured inventory photo sets
- Basic Lightroom edits for colour and consistency
- Following shot lists from our team and uploading content once you're done
What we're looking for
You don't need a film degree, and you don't need to be the finished article — if you've got the right attitude and a base level of skill, we're happy to train you up. What matters most is a genuine creative eye and the drive to get better.
- Some hands-on experience with camera work — you know what good footage and photos look like
- A creative eye — you can frame a shot that makes a car look its best, not just tick a box
- Basic Lightroom knowledge (or a willingness to learn it fast)
- Good time management — you'll be working independently across multiple dealerships
- Reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with
- Willingness to take feedback and grow
- Own transport
