The School Excellence directorate brings together policy, implementation and priority work to deliver on Our Plan for Public Education and support schools in their ongoing pursuit of excellence.
The School Excellence Framework supports all NSW public schools in their pursuit of equity and excellence by clearly outlining what is valued as excellence in schools, both now and into the future. All schools have areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. The School Excellence directorate focuses on those school practices that evidence shows are most directly related to continuous, school-wide improvement and better student outcomes.
The role leads a team who partners with stakeholders and supports priority work for school excellence. This includes stages of design, implementation and ongoing evaluation, in order that the support provided to schools is high quality, evidence-informed and responsive to school and system needs. The role requires leading collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders to find solutions to complex system level challenges that are implemented in individual schools..
