Opportunity snapshot - 2-year Fixed term contract- Scrum Master
Bupa is embarking on a new strategic direction that involves several strategic initiatives, significant changes in
our ways of working and securing our customer data and securing the new Savannah 27 strategy, and to support the delivery of BUPA’s vision of being the trusted preferred partner for healthcare providers.
The purpose of the role is to motivate the team with a strong vision of Scrum, drive Agile values and build the team's culture to embrace these values, and coach the team on Scrum practices working to higher levels of Scrum maturity and delivery.
The Scrum Master will be accountable for tracking team performance and facilitating continual improvement, helping the team to deliver solutions by removing impediments and seeking ongoing team efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the delivery team and focus team on what is needed to deliver business outcomes that is the best value approach and in alignment with defined outcomes / objectives of the sprint and program increment
- Effectively lead and manage Agile ceremonies (e.g., program increment/sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retro, backlog refinement), discussion, decision making and conflict resolution)
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments to deliver solutions
- Proactively review agile metrics (e.g., dashboards/reports) and ways of working of Team, continuously identifying opportunities for uplift and striving to have the scrum team working to a high performing level ensuring there is flow of work
- Maintain Scrum Board and follow up with Scrum Team to ensure that information is current
- Administration of tools (Azure Dev Ops)
Requirements
- 2-3 years of Scrum Master experience, working in large IT projects, leading agile teams (8 people) in a fast-paced environment
- First level Scrum Master certification (PSM, CSM). SAFe certification (desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent (desirable)
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead teams building a ‘can do’, outcome-based culture
- Good skills and working knowledge of servant leadership
- Experience and skilled in meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, problem solving, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Solid stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across business and technical teams
- Previous experience in the use of Azure Dev Ops, Confluence and for backlog and document management and reporting, Ms Teams
- Working knowledge of SAFe (e.g. PI planning), DevOps and SDLC
