About the role
This is a permanent full-time role in the Major Projects team and is based from Council's Moruya Depot.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to develop, review and monitor systems and processes within the Capital Works Division while assisting the Construction Engineer with project delivery, procurement, quality assurance and technical documentation.
This role supports the delivery of a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, drainage, traffic facilities and other public infrastructure across the Eurobodalla Shire.
Your main duties will also include:
- Review and update technical documentation in the civil industry field with consideration of current specifications, systems, policies, codes of practice and legislation.
- Develop, review and maintain Project Management Plans and other project documentation in accordance with Council's systems.
- Undertake Safety, Quality and Environmental audits on construction sites, including reporting on construction quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Scheduling and documentation of post-project review of projects and activities delivered by the Capital Works Division.
- Prepare briefs/documents for procurement and engagement of external consultants and contractors in accordance with policies and procedures
- Identify technical process improvements within the Major Projects Division that satisfy business requirements for recommendation to the Division Manger, Major Projects and facilitate their implementation.
Assist in the development, monitoring and review of project budgets.
The salary range for this position is $98,519.14 to $108,125.17 per annum inclusive of 12% superannuation.

About you
You are an organised and motivated technical professional with a keen eye for detail who enjoys supporting the delivery of civil construction projects. You are comfortable working with project documentation, quality systems and construction teams, and can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Your application will further demonstrate the following:
- An associate degree in Civil Engineering and/or significant relevant industry experience, familiarity with regional road & drainage construction works.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate technical documentation, reports and construction records.
- Understanding of quality, safety and environmental systems, including construction quality documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in developing procurement documents for engagement of consultants and external contractors.
- Sound computing skills including use of MS Office applications and ability to use customised in-house applications.
- High level of interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organised with proven time management skills to effectively deliver multiple
