- Clear and defined pathway to Partnership through the succession of an established practice and client portfolio
- Broad mix of transactions and development work across REITs, private developers, and listed groups
- Senior role within a growing Brisbane office backed by an established and collaborative partnership team
The Opportunity
This is a significant opportunity for a senior property lawyer looking to step into a genuine succession position within an established Brisbane practice. Created following the retirement of a long-standing Partner, the role offers the ability to inherit an existing portfolio of quality clients and matters, alongside a clear and defined pathway to Partnership.
The practice acts across a broad range of commercial property and development matters for REITs, private and public developers, investors, and institutional clients. The work includes acquisitions and disposals, large-scale developments, joint ventures, leasing, and complex project transactions, providing strong variety and direct client engagement.
You will work closely with two highly regarded Brisbane Partners with longstanding reputations in the property market, particularly across major developments, complex real estate transactions, mixed-use projects, and commercial leasing. The team is well-established, collaborative, and forms part of a nationally integrated property practice that continues to grow in profile and capability across Australia.
The Brisbane office is in a strong growth phase, making this role particularly attractive for an established Special Counsel seeking a tangible route to Partnership, or a high-performing Senior Associate ready to step into a more senior position with genuine progression prospects.
While the role comes with an established client portfolio, it also provides the platform to further develop your own practice, strengthen commercial leadership capabilities, and play an active role in the ongoing growth of the team and broader national practice.
The Firm
The Firm operates through a collaborative national partnership model and continues to strengthen its standing across the Australian legal market. With Property remaining a core pillar of the broader practice, the team benefits from strong internal referral networks, inter and cross-office collaboration, and consistent investment in growth across key markets, including Brisbane.
