We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker or Welder to join our growing team in Welshpool, WA. This is a hands-on role in a supportive, team-based environment where your skills will make a real impact.
What you will do
- Fabrication of various works, including cutting, folding and rolling
- Galvanised steel, mild steel, stainless, and Aluminium welding - MIG & TIG
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Fitting and assembling components into final products
- Performing QA checks and finishing tasks (grinding, sanding, TIG brushing)
- Primarily workshop based but the possibility of onsite metro and regional installations if interested.
The Role
- Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Operate specialised sheet metal fabrication machinery and equipment with precision
- Good problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team
- Ability to work efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbally
- Commitment to producing quality products
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
Qualification:
- Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM30322) or equivalent
- Working at Heights & Confined Space (Within 2 years) – desirable
- Forklift License - desirable
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
- Hold a current valid driver’s license. – essential.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test for onsite work
- Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
