We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista All-Rounder to join our café team in Eltham. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, making great coffee and being part of a busy café environment.
The job position is Wednesday, Thursday & Friday's from 9:30am to 4:00pm
The successful candidate will be confident working across all areas of the café, including coffee preparation, customer service, food preparation, cleaning and general café duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee
- Operate and maintain the coffee machine, grinder and other café equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Process EFTPOS and cash transactions through the POS system.
- Prepare and serve cabinet food and basic café items.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment.
- Clear and clean tables and assist with dishwashing when required.
- Restock milk, coffee, takeaway items, food and other supplies.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and customer service.
- Assist other team members wherever required to ensure the café runs smoothly.
- Complete general cleaning duties, including benches, equipment, floors and customer areas.
Skills & Experience
- Previous café or barista experience preferred.
- Good coffee-making skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Food Safety knowledge or certification is advantageous.
- Availability across mornings, weekends and public holidays is advantageous.

What the Role Involves
As a Barista All-Rounder, no two shifts are exactly the same. You will be expected to move between making coffee, serving customers, clearing tables, cleaning and supporting your team as required. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in helping create a welcoming café experience for customers.
Pay: $26.44 – $48.57 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
