Parramatta Park View Medical Centre is seeking a friendly, organised and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy medical practice, communicates confidently with patients and can manage reception duties efficiently while maintaining privacy and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and managing front-desk enquiries
- Answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments
- Managing patient registrations and updating patient information
- Processing Medicare, private and third-party billings
- Handling payments, receipts and daily banking
- Scanning, filing and managing incoming correspondence
- Coordinating recalls, reminders and follow-up appointments
- Supporting doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records
- Assisting with general administrative duties
About you
- Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience is preferred
- Experience using Best Practice software is highly regarded
- Good understanding of Medicare billing and general practice procedures
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Strong computer, organisational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, reliable and calm under pressure
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Appropriate Australian working rights
Availability for occasional Saturday shifts would be an advantage.
