We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Housekeeping Manager to lead the Housekeeping Department at Hilton Cairns. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all guest rooms and public areas.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with a strong operational background in hotel housekeeping, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams while maintaining Hilton's renowned service standards.
- Lead, coach, and manage the Housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and service standards.
- Recruit, train, develop, and motivate team members, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve housekeeping policies, procedures, and operational practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, hygiene requirements, and safety regulations.
- Manage housekeeping inventories, linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment while maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor labour costs, and achieve financial and productivity targets.
- Collaborate closely with Front Office, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate departmental records, including rosters, inventory, maintenance requests, and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety, environmental, and company policies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior housekeeping leadership role within a hotel environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading large housekeeping teams in a busy hospitality operation.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional presentation standards.
- Sound financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and departmental expenses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, products, and Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- A qualification in Hospitality Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
