The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and accomplished Lecturer in Engineering Management to join our Sydney campus on a full-time, on-site basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of our Master of Engineering Management (MEM) — a postgraduate program designed to equip graduates with the leadership, technical, and strategic competencies demanded by today's engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and workshops across postgraduate Engineering Management units
- Design, develop, and continuously improve course materials, assessments, and curriculum in alignment with TEQSA standards and industry expectations
- Assess and provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance
- Provide academic mentorship and pastoral support to postgraduate students
- Contribute to research activity, including publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Participate in curriculum review, accreditation activities, and academic governance
- Collaborate with academic colleagues and industry partners to maintain a stimulating, inclusive, and professionally relevant learning environment
About You
- A doctoral qualification (PhD) in Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Cost Engineering, Project Management, Leadership & Organisational Behaviour, and Systems Engineering
- Proven experience in academic instruction at the tertiary level, including innovative and student-centred teaching methodologies
- Strong record of, or clear potential for, research, academic writing, and publication in peer-reviewed outlets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse postgraduate student cohorts
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive academic environment
- Prior teaching or lecturing experience at the postgraduate level
- Industry experience in engineering management, project delivery, or related professional practice
