You'll make an impact by:
- Leading the AML/CTF, Complex Investigations and Internal Fraud Response functions, ensuring effective management of financial crime risks across the Bank.
- Driving the strategic direction and ongoing development of Financial Crime AML/CTF operations, building scalable solutions that support business growth and regulatory compliance.
- Partnering with senior leaders across Risk, Customer, Product, Digital and Distribution teams to strengthen financial crime, sanctions and internal fraud risk management frameworks.
- Ensuring compliance with AML/CTF regulatory requirements by embedding effective controls across customer onboarding, products, services and operational processes.
- Acting as a trusted adviser and thought leader, influencing executive and Board-level stakeholders on financial crime risks, trends and mitigation strategies.
- Leading the preparation of executive, committee and Board reporting, providing clear insights into financial crime risks, operational performance and emerging issues.
- Building a proactive risk culture that promotes strong financial crime awareness, prevention and compliance practices across the organisation.
- Developing and leading a high-performing team, fostering capability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you'll demonstrate:
- Extensive leadership experience within Financial Crime, AML/CTF, Sanctions or Fraud management in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, regulatory obligations and risk management frameworks.
- Experience leading complex operational teams and implementing scalable financial crime solutions.
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including Executive and Board-level audiences.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk management, compliance and customer outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify emerging risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Experience leading change and driving continuous improvement within complex business environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as finance, business, law, criminology, investigations or a related field.
