In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team providing expert advice and assistance to a range of stakeholders involved in maintenance of the rail corridor for Sydney Trains. Covering environmental management, environmental planning and assessment, compliance and assurance activities to meet the Sydney Trains environmental management system requirements. Together with supporting the business to meet the environmental expectations of the community in NSW.
This role will see you understand and balance environmental and sustainability obligations with the needs and expectations of various stakeholders and communities.

About you
Your generalist skills and knowledge gained as an Environment and Sustainability professional formed while working in roles utilising your broad range of skills will see you equipped to assist with the variety of ecological issues you will be dealing with along the rail corridor. A background in linear infrastructure projects, in state or federal government would equip you to understand the processes leading to successful outcomes.
You're recognised as an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, flexible with the ability to respond quickly to situations, and skilled at balancing and prioritising high volumes of work while adhering to the policies and procedures around the rail network and understanding of sensitivities of working in a role which has many interested stakeholders.
