We are currently seeking a Casual Mill Operator to join our team at Tong Park Feedmill.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is mechanically minded, safety focused, and enjoys working in a production or agricultural environment. While this is a casual position, successful candidates will work on a consistent 5-day rotating roster, offering regular hours and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a growing business.

As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and monitoring equipment involved in the manufacture of stockfeed to support our piggery operations. You'll play an important role in ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and hygiene.
- Operate and monitor stockfeed manufacturing equipment and raw material storage systems.
- Monitor plant performance and minimise equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete basic mechanical repairs within your skill level.
- Report plant operating issues that may impact production targets.
- Maintain mill cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Follow FeedSafe procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily production schedules.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience operating machinery or working in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- A reliable work ethic and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in feedmills, agriculture, farming, manufacturing, or food production is highly regarded; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
