Offshore, Mining & Civil Pty Ltd is a specialist contractor delivering maintenance, shutdown, construction, and project support services across the mining and civil sectors throughout Australia. We support major resource and infrastructure projects with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational performance. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines in heavy vehicles and mobile plant equipment
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, earthmoving machinery, and associated diesel powered equipment
- Carry out mechanical repairs including engine, transmission, braking, steering, and hydraulic systems
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and testing methods
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts and components
- Conduct breakdown repairs in workshop and on site environments, including mining and civil project sites
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
Key Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Minimum three years post qualification experience in diesel mechanical maintenance and repair
- Strong experience working on diesel engines, heavy vehicles, and mobile plant machinery
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
- Experience with scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repair work
- Ability to work in remote, mining, and civil site environments
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety procedures
- Current driver licence (HR licence desirable but not essential)
