Dental Assistant – Implant Surgery Experience Preferred

Smiline Dental is seeking a motivated, professional, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and has experience assisting with implant surgery.
This position is ideal for a reliable Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a modern, fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical support.
Days & Hours
- Tuesday to Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance for general and surgical dental procedures
- Assist with dental implant surgeries and surgical extractions
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
- Instrument processing and sterilisation in accordance with the Australian Dental Association (ADA) Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms and surgical equipment
- Take dental radiographs (preferred)
- Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with patient documentation
- Provide outstanding patient care before, during, and after treatment
- Assist with stock control and surgery organisation
- Support clinicians in delivering efficient, high-quality dental care
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge and experience assisting with dental implant surgery (But not required)
- Sound understanding of ADA Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines
- Excellent infection control and sterilisation practices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Professional presentation and compassionate patient manner
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
- Experience with implant surgery, guided surgery, bone grafting, PRF, and All-on-X procedures
- Dental radiography qualification
- Experience using dental practice management software
