We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals living with disabilities, assisting them to achieve their goals, build independence, and enhance their quality of life.
Duties include personal care, manual handling, transfers using hoists and mobility equipment, medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic support, transport to appointments, community participation, social engagement, and maintaining accurate progress notes. You will work closely with participants, families, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality care and positive outcomes.
Successful applicants will have strong communication skills, a caring and professional attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting participants with high physical support needs, complex care requirements, and challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
Essential requirements include a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR Certificate, Manual Handling Certificate, valid Driver's Licence, reliable vehicle, and the right to work in Australia.
We are seeking a Support Worker who has experience or confidence in preparing West African cuisine as part of the participant’s support.
Experience cooking West African meals is highly desirable, and the worker should be comfortable preparing meals according to the participant’s preferences and dietary requirements.
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, sleepovers, and public holidays, is highly regarded.
