About the role
As a Chef De Partie at Boatshed Market, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our renowned restaurant/market located in the vibrant beachside suburb of Cottesloe, Western Australia. This full-time position requires you to work as part of a skilled culinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare high-quality dishes to the restaurant's exacting standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food cost management and inventory control.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant's culinary excellence.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food preparation and service adheres to relevant health and safety regulations.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef De Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant
- Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavoursome dishes
- Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant formal culinary qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
